Spirulina
Our Spirulina was one of the first to be certified organic globally as per USDA-NOP, Naturland and EU Standards. It was also the first and only Spirulina to complete the USP Dietary Ingredient Verification Program, endorsed to align with the FDA’s Food Safety Modernization Act. This validates our commitment to quality and effective GMP quality systems in compliance with officially recognized requirements.
- Spirulina contributes to the reduction of tiredness and naturally contains high amounts of vegan protein (54%), vitamin K, vitamin B12 and important antioxidants like vitamin A (ß-carotene).
- Additionally, Spirulina contains minerals like iron and magnesium which contribute to normal energy-yielding metabolism and to normal function of the immune system.
- Vitamin B12 is especially important for vegans and vegetarians as just small amounts of this nutrient can be provided through a plant-based diet. Vitamin K contributes to the maintenance of normal bones.
- Spirulina contains all essential amino acids and therefore is an important protein source. Noteworthy is the high content of natural antioxidants like vitamin A (ß-carotene) and phycocyanin both play an important role in cell protection.
- Phycocyanin gains more and more popularity through the antioxidant potential and the use as colouring foodstuff. The natural dye supports the immune system, inhibits the growth of cancer cells, can minimise viral infects and can inhibit the growth of different kinds of cancer.
